Stop glare, & decorate! These windows were throughout a large office. The sun needed to be controlled, and the top of the rollers needed to be hidden!
A Banner valance went up here. It is a beautiful viney embroidery, with contrast lining and edge welt. This actually makes the treatment reversible! To hide the rod elbows 'ruches' were made to fall between the valance layers and create a great look!
The shades are SheerWeave by Phifer, 95/5% in Charcoal/Chestnut. They cut glare, screen UV, and precerve the view to the street for security purposes. A perfect fit for this busy office!

Mini Banner Valance. This is a smaller version of the Banner valance seen just prior. It also disguises the roller shade here. Note the nice contrast the rod cover makes between the layers of the valance.

Cornices and SheerWeavesAnother view of a single window, with 3 separate opening within.

Dining Hall windowsThis area required sound deadening, as the rooms are wide open and increase all sound to the rest of the floor.
This treatment began with Phifer 'SheerWeave' roller shades, to control the Sun and create an air barrier to absorb sound, with simple Upholstered cornices above. They hide the roller portion of the shade, and add to the aesthetic qualities of this area, which was beautiful to begin with!
Note the view to the outside of the shades - these are meant to screen UV, cut glare, reduce usage heat/AC.

A soft approach to banking. This financial institution wanted an unusually finished look for their windows.
They installed honeycomb shades for security and light control, the went to sheer draperies, made very full, then finished with an 'Imperial' valance. Note the way all valance portions have the same 'repeat' all across; the valances have contrast welting, as well.

Male territory! This office was for the President/owner of a large, urban-area distributorship.
All aspects were carefully planned to represent this man as businesslike yet approachable. The pale palette of Grey/black/Ivory was welcoming yet functional, and also displayed the occupant's love of local professional sports.
Every effort was made to make the occupant & visitor comfortable, right down to the well-stocked mini-bar in the hideaway closet.
